“I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease at a young age and I never really dealt with what that meant or the toll it played on me psychologically. The sudden loss of my mother was so profound and I was struggling. I had tremendous nerves about beginning therapy and was convinced that no one could understand or help me. At the time I figured, I’ll go to therapy to get through this moment in time, and then I’d be “done”. I had been to therapy before and I understood the benefit of it, but I had never connected in a meaningful way with a therapist, and often found myself being far less than open or even honest. Despite my reluctance I decided to give therapy a try and much to my luck I met Dani. It has now been 4 years and I’m still working with her, and not because she did not help, because she did help and in a profound way.

“I met with Dani and she immediately made me feel welcomed. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get out of therapy until the day I was having issues with a co-worker. After a session with Dani, she reframed some of the things I spoke about in a way that I wasn’t ‘hearing’. She made me pause and think back on my actions and how I interpreted them. I was impressed with the way she made me see myself and the strengths I bring to the table, whether at work or in my home/ personal life.”

"Dani created a space where I could be vulnerable and be heard. She is empathetic but honest, providing me with the tools and encouragement to improve my mental health. Having Dani guide me through tough times was like having a mental health professional, teacher, and friend all in one."
